They should have kept the front end from the 2008. With a different grill, lower hood, and the 2008 lights, it would look a lot better from the front.
IMO, the rear and side views are fine. |

Somebody should tell the site host that the Pilot is an 8-passenger SUV; not 7-passenger...
And I'm not impressed by his list of choices either. He missed quite a few "dogs" that should be on the list, and included some that are actually pretty attractive (Acura?). |

I don't know what you guys think, but to me the Chevy uplander is the ugliest of the list.
I don't think the Pilot,Jeep,Acura and Toyota should be in that list. |

"It's all in the face. Maybe it's the influence of Cars, but we tend to see cars as faces and the Uplander looks like a fat guy who realized he just swallowed a stapler." |

I agree with not being suprised the '09 Pilot was on the list. I am surprised that it wasn't higher on the list. As for the 2009 Acura TL, I am really disappointed in the upcoming model. I currently have a 2002 Acura TL-S as well as the 2006 Pilot, and skipped the currently bodystlye Acura waiting for the 2009. This Acura may push me over to BMW for my next sedan. |

No way! The new front grill is one of my favorite parts! Just my $0.02. |

According to the article, the designer is blaming the number cruncher. :D :D
Chief Designer Dave Marek says of the grille, "[it] was a case of taking something that was on something else... and kind of massaging it to fit. On the mockup, [it] looks good. When you actually manufacture it, oops! That's actually what happened. It's hard to foresee." He follows that statement with, "I think when (the '09) is out on the road, people will appreciate it." " |
