tranny cooler install - Click HERE for Original Thread

I will post some pictures of this install a bit later. I chose to install the heavy duty cooler from Napa. I purchased additional hose because there simply was not enough to get to both lines. I found it easier on my 05 pilot to remove the inner plastic fender well on the drivers side rather than deal with the bumper. I removed the cover on top of the grill first, followed by the grill and then the inner fender well. Everything was easily accessible this way and the installation went fairly smooth. I am currently towing a 18' searay open bow and the pilot seems to be doing great with it. I installed the factory wiring harness which was easy and a Uhaul hitch. In retrospect, I wish I would have purchased the Honda one. For me this is not because of the added bolts, but because the fit of the uhaul unit to a receiver is extremely sloppy. I will keep everyone updated and post pictures if anyone wants them.

I too was annoyed with the banging and movement when I inseterd the Hitch bar into the receiver, then I found a spiffy little repacement for the PIN that holds the hitch bar in place. It has a LOCK and a spring mechanism that allows you to tighten the tension .... and stop the rattle/movement!

Can't remeber what it's called but I believe I got it at the UHaul store.

im getting ready to install a tranny cooler myself (on my 06 pilot) I would love to see your pics. Did you have to get a different power steering fluid cooler or were you able to put in the atf cooler with the existing power steering cooler?
