| I found some precut windows tint for sell on ebay. I am just wondering if anybody has good experience with them and how hard it is to install. |

| I bought a precut windshield tint off of ebay. Quality and fit was very good. Much easier than trying to cut a curved 7 inch piece of tint to fit the top of the windshield. |

I am glad someone has tried this before. How does it come out to be? How hard is it to install and how does it look? Please let me know which seller you bought it from.
any info is greatly appreciated. |

| I'd have to look to see who the seller was. I do remember that it came from Virginia Beach. It came out pretty well. I should have removed the rearview mirror before installing it as it would have made it easier to trim around the mirror mount. Not to mention just positioning it. |

Why do you need to remove the rear view mirror? Are you tint your windshield as well?
Did you order any special installation tools to finish the job? |

The tint goes from the top of the windshield down to the line on the left hand side of the windshield. It winds up about 1 inch below the mirror mount.
I didn't buy anything else, as I had what I needed from previous tint jobs. |

It sounds like I need to buy a set of installation kit. Is that all I need?
BTW, how long did it take you to finish the job? Any guess how long it might take for a rookie? |

| batrachian, have you already ordered the pre-cut tint? if so, let me know how the install goes. i'm thinking about ordering a set for my front doors. here is the one i'm looking at: Ebay. i figure i'll save a lot of money installing it myself, and if it turns out good, then great. if it turns out bad, it can supposedly be removed cleanly (or so they say in the item description). |

| I have not ordered the tint yet. I figure out that I better wait for the reply from macphanatic to decide which one to get. |

Sorry - missed your last post.
Taking the mirror off makes it easier to trim the tint to fit around the mirror mount.
You will need the following to install the tint:
Spray bottle with water and drop of dish detergent. After cleaning the windshield, spray it with the water/soap solution. As spray the tint with the solution to keep it from sticking to it self.
You will need a sharp knife to trim around the mirror mount and a squeegee to smooth the tint and remove any air bubbles. |

| I am also interested in this install. Please give a complete review after installing the front windows. I have been planning on getting the front windows done, but would love to save some cash. |

The seller from Virginia beach is ExtremeTint and I just did the front windows of my 05 pilot. They actually came out very good. One recommedation is to clean the windows extremely good with newspaper before starting. I cleaned it with a rag on the drivers side and you can actually see a few fibers in between the window and tint, so I used newspaper on the passenger side and it came out great.
It also took ony about 20 mins to do both. The job was super simple.
Good Luck! |

thanks for the post, asilva. newspaper to clean the windows? could the ink from the newspaper somehow bleed and get on the windows? i have those windex disposable glass wipes, maybe they won't produce the fiber residue that towels do. |

| I used a microfiber cloth, no residue at all. |

| i just received my pre-cut tint from EliteTint off Ebay. i haven't unrolled it yet, but it looks good and it came with clear instructions. i went with the 35% so i could still have decent night vision. i'm hoping to install it tomorrow, and will post pics/comments after i'm done. |

rlapid,
Did you get a chance to install the tint? Debating myself on whether to get the full set or just try the front doors first. Would love to see how yours turn out before I bid on the $0.95 tint. Thanks. |

yes, i did get a chance to try and install them. however, mine didn't install as smoothly as i expected. it was probably my fault since i didn't really know what i was doing, but i am ordering another kit and trying again. i got these wrinkles/bubbles at the bottom of the window and couldn't push them out, so i'm assuming my placement of the tint on the window was off. i'm ordering the new kit today and will keep you updated. |
