I traded in my 02 S2000 for a Honda Pilot. My wife was pregnant with twins and we needed a major grocery getter + something to hold the whole clan. Almost a year later we are having our first issues with it. It's an 04 Pilot EX.
Just in the past week my wife noticed that the radio was occasionally kicking off static. Then the other day I noticed the headlights weren't working. I ALWAYS drive with headlights on (even if it's just low beams) out of habit. Something my father taught me a long time ago that has kept people from pulling out it in front of me on more than one occasion. After fiddling with the headlights at the gas station I noticed the headlights work but that the high beams don't. (My wife has a habit of accidentally knocking the lights into high beams when she uses turn signals). After further testing we found that when the headlight switch is in the on position (high or low beams) we get occasional static out of the radio. My first thoughts are "OH NO ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS PROBLEMS" but after reading and searching the forums high & low I think I've found the solution.

Any thoughts? 30$ sounds like a cheap test case and after serious thought it sounds like the root of the issues but I wanted to post and see if anybody had any other ideas.
Just a few notes: car has somewhere around 45,000 miles on it. Windshield cracked a few weeks back but haven't gotten it replaced yet.
