PLEASE HELP ME. MY PILOT IS A GHOST
I park my pilot last night in "P," next morning, my pilot doesn't start. the gauge illuminate on "D" but the actual gear is still in "P". i know it in "P" because it is shift all the way to the top. i got the gear to shift by pressing the hold on the top of the steering wheel with my key. but the indicator still said it on "D". i check the battery, it not it. no matter what i do, the indicator is still on "D". and my pilot won't start. oh yea, the ghost part was just something catchy to get my post notice. 2004 Honda Pilot EX. 120K on it
THANKS IN ADVANCE |

| I'd disconnect the battery for 5 minutes or so and try again. |

| 103 viewed my post but only 2 suggestions. I guest this is not a common problem at all then. I am getting the car tow to the dealer today to get it trouble shoot. I'll keep you guy update on how much it cost and what is the problem. Thanks |

| I'm thinking it's the shift position switch that tells the car it's in park. The switch linkage to the gear select lever is broken. It won't allow you to start unless it thinks it's in park. |
