New 09 Pilot in Houston... - Click HERE for Original Thread
BSG
Just saying Howdy. My wife and I took delivery of our 2009 Nimbus Grey Metallic Touring Nav/RES Pilot this past Friday night. So far we love it. I have been an avid horsepower junkie for years and have been very involved in other online forums for my old 2004 GTO and 2007 Trailblazer SS. We have our first kid on the way so we decided to get something that was nice for all the right reasons. I can't say enough about how much we are enjoying the Pilot just in these first few days. I look forward to participating here and learning as much as I can. I plan to keep it simple though, all I have planned for this one is...

1. Weather Tech mats (they only released the 1st row mats so far).
2. "Bugflector"
3. Texas A&M Hitch Cover
4. Second Row Seat Cover (for the new kid and the dog).
5. Chrome nerf bars of some sort

See ya'll around!

This is starting to get BORING.

Everyone seems to have an 09 Touring Model yet no one backs it up with a picture.

You serious? What is there to "back up"? Is there a huge influx in people lying about having Honda Pilots? Should I take a picture of my Accord too?

I'll be happy to post pics after ol' tropical storm edouard moves on.

Hey BSG!!!

I had to take my 61 yr old mother and her parents ( 83 & 92 yrs old ) to the airport to fly to Philly today. We are all from New Orleans originally, but only my grandparents had to leave their house of 50 years when Katrina took it.

The Pilot was loaded down with 4 adults and luggage for 3 of them and we did just fine going from Katy to Bush Airport. I'm still driving on my OEM Goodyear Integrities with 53,000 miles on 'em.

Kept it around 45-50 mph on Beltway 8 and only hydroplaned about a half-a-dozen times!

Hope you're staying dry, enjoy your new Pilot!!

Awesome! Sounds good! My 09 has some type of michelins on it I believe. They look to be a fairly aggressive tire but ride very smooth. Hopefully i can get 50k+miles out of my stock tires...that would be sweet! My 06 accord came with michelin stockers and I had to replace them at 43kmiles.

It's good thing you don't plan on any horsepower mods for the Pilot because nobody makes anything for it other than a drop in K&N.

Enjoy the new ride!

Ah...another fellow Houstonian. Welcome. I've only been here on the board a short while myself as we picked up an 08 in late May...probably about as yours was arriving on a truck! Love the interiors on the 09's and sounds like they have the right new qualities as a 2nd gen. Congrats. This forum has some great input already in place.

Edouard ended up a big no show...which was just fine as I'd rather be saying that than on my roof in Richmond putting shingles back on.

Welcome...
