Honda Certified Wrap Warranty Cost - Click HERE for Original Thread
Jarmbill
Thank you for this great community. Perhaps this may be of some help to those negotiating for a Honda Certified Pilot.

This may be a valuable thread by way of reporting actual prices paid for the CPO wrap coverage.

We walked away from the deal until they agreed to sell the Wrap warranty at $765. Dealer cost is $465, per the later posting in the thread below.

Retails for upwards of $1200+ I believe. This provides 7year/100K comprehensive coverage in addition to the powertrain warranty. This warranty can be bought only at the time of vehicle purchase.

This is helpful to know. I was quoted 1400 for the wrap. 700 would make it easier to take. Is it 7/100 total or from the purchase/miles date?

Can anyone point me to where I can find what is specifically covered on the 1/12 CPO warranty vs the wrap?

I'll have pictures for you by next week fingers crossed.

It is 7 years from the "in service" (purchase) date or 100k from 0 miles.

The 1/12 is an extension of the original factory warranty.

Any other thoughts on the wrap? Has anyone had to use it?
If the Radio stops...covered?
If the power seat stops working...covered?
If the AC stops....covered?
Struts timing belt...etc.

I know I'm asking a lot but the dealer basically said the 1/12 was nothing and EVERYTHING except body and maintenance was covered. But I just have the feeling that I would buy this and then the first problem that comes up won't be covered.

Thanks for the info on negotiating this Jarmbill. I didn't get it at cost but got very close.

Cost is really $460. Still, you got a good deal.
Jman
You had to tell me that? Just kidding.
hondacuraworld
Sure, but it's the absolute best and cheapest thing out there for a CPO. Even at a grand, it's cheaper than any other alternative.
Jarmbill
Excellent information. Thanks.

I wonder what the dealer cost is to CPO a vehicle. Is it a fixed cost for the powertrain warranty, and then whatever costs there are to bring it within compliance of CPO standards?
hondacuraworld
Basically yes. All services also need to be brought up to date, etc. I don't have a figure on that to reference offhand.
