maintenance minder - Click HERE for Original Thread

I had the cabin filter replaced at the local Honda dealer. It was not a scheduled maintenance item, but my wife needed better filtration for her car so I had a Fram activated charcoal filter installed. As I recall, the MM had 40% oil life left on it. The dealer reset the MM for some reason to 100%. Is there a way to put the MM back to its original position before it was reset by the dealer? If not, I'll just get the oil changed now, but does that reset the MM for other scheduled service items besides the oil?

the dealer should not have reset the maintenance minder at that point. unfortunately, i doubt there is a way to reverse the MM, so you might have to get the oil changed so its back on track. also, you might want to service whatever else the MM would have reminded you to do. how many miles do you have on your pilot? you can try and figure out which services need to be done if you've been logging your past maintenance records. if its any help, i also have an 06 4WD with nav, and at ~37000 miles, my maintenance minder has just popped up and i need service codes B 1, 3, and 6.

I would be more concerned that in resetting the MM, the dealer also reset other upcoming maintenance items, like the VTM-4? You don't want to skip one of those.
