I was driving the Pilot this afternoon and noticed that the front speakers didn't sound as good as the used to. So I faded the speakers to the front and the passenger side door speaker wasn't working. It would come off & on every once in a while. Maybe off & on every 5 minutes. Here are my questions:

- Should I replace the speaker?
- Could it be a radio problem?
- Does anyone know where I should start?

I opened and closed the door and it didn't make any difference sounds wise. The speaker still wasn't on. I hope that this info helps. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!!!!:confused:

Ok.... So I just took the Right side door panel off and the speaker worked for a moment. I checked all of the connections with an OHM meter and they were fine. I tried bending the connections/wires to see if a wire or connector was broke internally and they all checked out fine. I hooked up an old speaker I had laying around in the garage and the speaker worked. So I ended up pushing in on the woofer and it came on. It worked for a second then went off. I pushed it back in and it worked again. I tried it again after it shutt off and the speaker was at about 25% volume. It sounded very weak.

Do you guys think that it is just a bad speaker? If so what should I replace it with?

i'd say replace all 4 door speakers. installation isn't very difficult, it will fix your weak speaker problem, and you'll appreciate the better sound. i have infinity's, which sound much better than the factory speakers. they will probably last longer, too. a quick search will yield many speaker reviews and options, and installation details. good luck!

Thanks rlapid! I am going to go to Best Buy & Circuit City tomorrow and see what kinds of deals they have. I put Infinitys in my old car and I loved them! Thanks for your help!

I replaced all mines also with Infinitys.

But I had to cut a bit on the plastic enclosure to get them to fit into them.

All wire hardness are included for free.

Thanks for the help Netmann! I went to Best Buy and they wanted $50 more dollars for these speakers. I am going to get them from Crutchfield! I will let you know how everything goes.:)
