Like many of the folks on the board, my Pilot had a vibration at 70mph no matter what tire/rim package I ran. I evenutally just learned to live with it. Until last week.
I took my Pilot in for an Oil Change before a long trip, and the tech came back and said my front motor mount was getting ready to go, and they when ahead and replaced it under my HondaCare warranty.
After that I went on my trip, and guess what? NO VIBRATION!! After five years, and 70k miles, they only thing I can figure was the mount was either a bad design, or bad from new. Either way, my vibration is totally gone, and it's as smooth now as my 03 Accord.

I also had the same problem for more than 2 years. I just learned to live with it like member bluto. Today I took it to service and I mentioned the steering wheel vibration - They checked and suggested me to do rotor resurfacing and pad replacement since the brake is upto 30% (replacement suggested at 20%). They also found that the front engine mounts are cracked and suggested replacement. I asked them to replace both and they slapped me with a $1000 maintenance. Now I feel this may be a defective part for mine. Never had this problem in any of the 4 cars I owned... What should I do? I feel this may be a common problem. Shouldn't Honda recall it? If so anyone knows who should I contact?

believe that you brought it to the 'Honda dealer' for that oil change and they spotted engine mount problem during regular inspection. One of the advantage to be serviced by dealer, though they charge higher than outside shops. |

| Just had an engine mount replaced by the dealer on my 2005 Pilot. It only has 34,000 miles on it. I also had to replace two mounts on my wife´s 2004 Odyssey earlier this year. It seems to me like a defective part. |

I had my front and side motor mounts replaced today. 2005 with 75,000 miles. I suspect they had been torn for 5,000 miles or so. Lots of low load clunking during throttle application, and ever so slight steering wheel vibration. Which I had never noticed, until driving it after the repair and noticed that the steering wheel dead still.
But it still is disappointing to spend $450 for (2) motor mounts on a 3 year old truck. |

I'm also interested in what the trend for model years involved in this is. My 2008 is fine...although I thought I picked up the smallest hint of some vibration under hard throttle while turning a corner the other day. |
