Wondering if anybody else has experienced an issue with the license plate mounts vibrating off. I have a dime size hole on the back hatch, and the other side is doing the same thing. The local Honda dealer wasn't much help with my issue.

I had that happen as well. I had the dealer weld the nuts back on warranty. Do you have a heavy license plate frame? I suspect that using a heavy frame held on by only two nuts causes the plate to vibrate and suffer from fatigue.

ctobio and Shindig78,
Thanks for the information and the extra threads to look over, much appreciated. Will be heading down this weekend to see what they (dealer) will do about it. |

Just had the same thing happen to my 2004 while driving today! Luckily someone was nice enough to flag me down and let me know that my license plate had just fallen off! Called the dealer and I got the impression that this is a problem they're familiar with. They said to bring it in "no appointment needed". Will post my experience when I take it in tomorrow.

Hope things workout for you, I was told by the dealer (even with a Honda Care warranty) that I was basically S.O.L.

Amazing, yep, same thing for me. The service people at my local dealer who usually are as nice as can be had a completely different attitude this time! "Sir, there's nothing I can do for you. The proper fix is to take it to a body shop." I was fuming! Worst part is they admitted they had seen this before. I told them that I can't believe Honda hadn't acknowledged this issue before and he told me I was welcomed to contact American Honda directly on my own. What a disappointment. Plan B is in effect. J-B-Weld time.
