Fluttering Noise at 45MPH - Click HERE for Original Thread
bdavis02
I have a '05 Pilot that makes a fluttering noise when I average speeds of 40-50 MPH. I only hear it when I am accelerating. When I lift my foot off the accelerator, the noise stops.

It doesn't always make the noise. I've been hearing it for about a year now but didn't know what to do about it.....too cheap to take it in. Other than that, it runs just fine.

Anyone know what the sound may be and what to do about it?

its the throttle body, i've had that problem too before, i thought it was the air filter, but i've changed it a gazillion times.
my friend that has an s2k has the same noise too.

are you sure its a fluttering noise? mine is like a high pitched "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee" when i step on the gas at certain times

The sound the car sometimes makes is like the sound you would hear if the transmission was in "D" (drive) and someone accidentally knocked the column shift to "N" (neutral). It kind of makes a low roaring sound until I lift my foot off the accelerator, then it goes away. Weird......
