| does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit acura mdx projectors into an 2008 pilot? The actual projectors seem very similar. I currently use H11 HID conversion and I don't want to melt the housing, I wonder if it will be worth the retrofit. Let me know. thanks. |

HIDs stay much cooler than halogens so if your halogen headlights were not melting the housing neither should your HIDs :) |

| in addition, 1st-gen acura mdx's never had HID from the factory, so you'd have to find a 2nd gen housing and projector to do the retrofit. as clee109 said, the HID kit shouldn't melt the housing, so you can use the stock pilot projectors. however, you will get a better light pattern and cutoff if you retrofit the pilot housings with the 2nd-gen MDX projectors. |
