I am going to flat tow my 2003 Pilot. I am wondering if anyone has done this and how they tap into the wiring to control brake lights while the pilot is being towed?
Is there a kit that anyone has found to use?
Thanks

Can you even do this without damaging the transmission and VTM-4?

The manual tells how to flat tow. So I would assume no problem. I have a v-6 AWd

I'm too lazy to walk 20 feet and look at the manual, but I was always under the impression that you were forbidden to tow an automatic for more than 50 miles as it would damage it.

If the manual says otherwise, great.

Up to 2004 or 2005, towing was allowed as long as the rules were followed. Never done it myself, but the 2004 I bought had been towed.

I don't remember how exactly it was wired, but do remember cursing a lot as I was cutting it all out. As for the back lights, the seemed to be spliced into using a diode. A lot of the parts I removed looked a lot like this kit I found online:

Check the electrical wiring section.
