I have alreadly searched and can't find any information, so here goes.
Has anyone d.i.y. installed an overhead DVD monitor in a 06 pilot ex.
I need to find the o.e.m. mounting support base behind the headliner over the front seats
Without buying the whole installation kit, just for the instruction and template to find the o.e.m. support base
I would like to buy the instruction and template from someone or get instruction or reference to help find the support base before I start cutting the headliner. |

| I think that member ecsw did an aftermarket self install on an '06. I could be way off, but I think he did a DIY writeup. You may want to PM him to find out. |

Good installation instructions, That exactly the template I'm looking for
with the exact location to cut thru the headliner for the mounting spport holes. If anyone have the 'template' from the install kit for marking and cutting the headliner? If so I would greatly appreciate buying or borrowing it and or returning it after.

I couldn't find any DIY on installing a dvd overhead monitor.

you can purchase the ives install kit seperately but the listing for the kit says that it is not compatible with the sunroof......

lol. I replied the email the day I received it, but I got no "thank you" from anyone. :D
Here was the thread that I gave information to a new member back then and he wrote up a nice DIY instruction.

Also, read the last post in there as another member point out there might be a safty concern regarding aftermarket.
I have my DVD for almost 3 years and it still pretty secure up in the roof. I did have to tighten the support screw once as the screw got lose over time from the vibration of the car.

Thank You for the good thread information it’s really going to help out, it give me more insight on what to do, I guess I’m going to drop the headliner down to find the base support bars before making any kind of holes, (This on a 06 Ex with no sunroof)
Thanks on the warning about the screws,I think I'll use some theard lock
on them.
