bigger tires - Click HERE for Original Thread
FIyingDutchman
Just bought a 2007 Pilot EX-L and the only thing I don't really like are the tires, they just seem too small. Incidently they are the same size as my wife's Ford Escape which needs new tires. She suggested putting the pilot tires on the escape and getting new tires for the Pilot, giving me all kinds of posibilities.

Do 245/75R16 tires fit and is it possible to reprogram the computer to accurately show the speed?

Hey welcome to hp.org!

There have been lots of people who have gone to 245/70/16 ( I bought a set about 6 weeks ago in this size, but haven't mounted 'em yet, my OEM Goodyear Integrities just won't wear out... currently at 54,000miles, or just about 90,000km for you guys up north )

One member wrote that he accidentally had 245/75 mounted and he had no clearance issues, but of course his speedo was off a good bit.

As far as I know, there is no calibration available to get the speedo back to accurate if you go that big.

And..... last week I saw 255/70/16 on a Pilot that looked just like my '04. They looked great and I'm pretty sure that is the largest you can go.

My suggestion is either 245-255/70 or 245/75 if you wish but no larger. The guy with the 245/75 has pics posted on this site and they look pretty much stuffed into the wheelwells. Do a search up top with 245/75 in the subject field and it will pull it up.

Again, welcome to hp.org
