| I have a 2007 Pilot EXL AWD. I just found out that the center compartment (the storage cabinet between the driver's and passenger's side) got very hot (around 40 to 50 celcus degree) after the engine is running for about 1 hour. You can feel the heat from the outside of the compartment, especially from the passenger's side. The 12-V power outlet is also very hot. Once I shut off the engine, the compartment will cool down. I brought my car to the dealer yesterday to diagnose the problem. But today they told me this is normal b/c there is a heat coil under the compartment. They tested another 2008 Pilot and found the same phenomenon. So my question to you guys is whether this is true that the heat from the center compartment is normal. If not, what could be the problem? Thank you very much for your help. |
