All season floor mats - Click HERE for Original Thread
ramirami
I am a new Pilot owner. Not sure if any interest in these still around. If so can we start a group buy for All season floor mats again?
sppilot
Count me in..
Diesel-Lover
I may be interested (sand beige/gold) color. What kind of pricing are we looking at any ideas? The other question is are these superior to the honda original equipment all weather mats?

Once I understand these issues I would be interested. I just bought an EX-L with running boards, tow kit, block heater and splash guards. I am thinking about mats, bug dflector and or a bush bar.

Looking forward to learning from this group.
Thanks
ck55
I'd be interested. Do you have a picture or link to a website?
kemosabe
Wow, didn't realize this Group Buy was still hanging around....

...the web site URL is on the image below. Get 10 members to agree to the group buy and Tim will knock 10% off the (current) price (listed below, too).
HondaFan
Count me in for the group buy on this. As a new owner I want to protect my Pilot from mud.
pre-sage pilot
 I Highly recommend these, I wasn't going to get them
but pushed the sales guy as a form of compensation for my extended wait and I am really glad he went along. If you deal with snow or mud at all these are great - my mats would be filthy by now if I hadn't got these.
Now my only decision is whether to leave these in or put the standard mats back in for the summer!
I say go for it,

PS: Tim's discounted price includes shipping

:2: :2: :2:
ramirami
wow.. so this is alive...I even forgot about it as with spring coming I will not need these till winter...lets go for it...so far there are :
1. ramirami
2. pcarpenter
3. sppilot
4. Diesel-Lover
5. ck55
6. HondaFan

if everyone is still in just 4 more needed...lets do it!!!!!:2: :2: :2: :2:
MJB
even better than a group buy for floor mats is at weathertech.com under honda. great products! I picked up the mats and had previously ordered the tote fot the roof for my other car. Works beautiful!
Eric Amsberry
I will participate in the group buy for the floor mats.
kemosabe
Hey Eric Amsberry... are you buying TWO sets of floor mats...??? That means ramirami only needs 2 more to finish the deal!! :D :D :D
Eric Amsberry
No, I was wanting one set, I think I accidentally posted twice by hitting the back button on my web browser, and then hitting forward again. Or, I also signed up for the running board group buy, so I better check to make sure I didn't get confused as to where I was, and do this one twice  Either way, one set will work for me. By the way, I found this site after purchasing my pilot, great site!!!!

Hello, UMGoBlue, as you're apparently a New Member, let me be the first to welcome you to the board! I take it from your user name that you have some affiliation with good ol' Univ. of MD....perhaps??
Anyway, I think you'll learn a lot and laugh a lot as you become more acquainted with honda-pilot.org.........
UMGoBlue
Yes, I am a new member. Registered today as a matter of fact. Thank you for the welcome. We took delivery of our starlight silver metallic Pilot EX last week. Unfortunately, the primary driver will be the wife since we dumped her minivan and upgraded to the Pilot.

Does the OEM driver-side floor mat cover this "dead pedal" that I've heard about in other threads re: floor mats? And do the mats have a ridge on the the edge to keep debris, dirt, water, melting snow, etc..., from spilling over onto the carpet? I'm really considering jumping in and joining this GB.

As for my username UMGoBlue...I'm a transplant from Michigan and grew up being a University of Michigan fan....Go Blue!!!

I do love UofMD basketball though...Go Terps...kick the beejeebies out of Michigan State tonight!!!

Congrats on your new Pilot and again... Welcome!!

The Honda mats do NOT cover the dead pedal. I believe the Weather-Tech mats do. www.weathertech.com
The Honda mats have a nice ridge that would catch all that dripping, melting muck. Originally from N.W. Indiana so I do know what you mean despite my palm tree avatar. ;) They also have the holes to hook in the floor hooks so they won't move around. Not sure if weathertech's do.

Have you checked out the
Vin Table Thread yet?

Good to see you here! Safe Piloting! :29:

Ahh, UMGoBlue, just as I thought, a person of taste and practicality, having chosen the SS EX Pilot (notice my signature)!!! You'll have to make sure you get ample time with your new baby on the weekends. When my husband and I bought our Pilot, the original intent was for him to drive it most days to work (actually to the Metro station), and I'd drive our Civic to my job. Whad'ya know, it's worked out just the opposite..... Driving it on the weekends has become something he really looks forward to!

Shoulda known with the "blue" in your user name, your team wasn't U. of MD. Fortunately, MD basketball overall ain't been too shabby lately, so it shouldn't be too difficult to root for them along with U. of Michigan. But there's nothing like the team a person grows up rooting for!!!

Re the all-weather mats: As you heard, it's true they don't cover the dead-pedal area, but others have said they deal with this satisfactorily by covering the exposed carpeting with a small towel or the like. I was lazy and didn't put something down, and I do have a small patch of mud to remove. But otherwise, I like Honda's all-weather mats...they stay put and they are designed to match the Cargo Tray, which I also have and would recommend.

Re your other post---I agree, watching sports, or anything else, in Hi Def (HDTV) is GREAT! We got it as soon as our cable provider offered this service. I'm still kinda mesmerized anytime something in Hi Def is broadcast!
ottopilot
Count me in. I would interested in getting mats. Are these only one color?
kemosabe
That's 9 out of 10, rami.... (ottopilot: see the image in an earlier post from this thread for the color -- basically, one color fits all)

An opportunity to drive our new Pilot didn't come to fruition as my friend ended up driving to pick up our curb-side-to-go dinner from the Macaroni Grill. :( Several cars would have had to been moved around to get the Pilot out of the driveway. It wasn't worth the effort...plus, our guests and the kids were extremely hungry and ready for some grub.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with the OEM floor mats. Is the cargo tray preferred over the cargo liner? Why so?

Maryland played horribly Friday night. It was a painful game to watch with the exception that it was broadcast in HDTV. To add insult to injury, they were beat by Sparty (MSU). In any case, there's still plenty of basketball to be played. How about Marquette destroying UK? That was a surprise!!!

I've come to love the Terps since many of my close friends are alums. Even went to last year's Final Four in Atlanta and got to watch them win their first national championship. But don't get me wrong, if they ever went head-to-head against Michigan, my alliance and heart would undoubtedly be with the Wolverines...GO BLUE!!!
kemosabe
Cool, you enjoy the Macaroni Grill, too? One of my favorite places -- I usually hit the one in Rio on Washingtonian Blvd... Also watched the MD (disappointing) game 24 hours ago -- posted immediately after they lost.... bummer!!!

Check out Do you eat fast-food meals in your Pilot?
Brew
Ok Ok, I'll bite.. That way I'll be set for next winter.

How do I go about doing this?? Will there be a link set up?

Wow, I'm jealous you were able to see the national championship win in person last year!!! Not sure when the Terps will get back there again!!!! Yeah, a heck of a surprise about Marquette. I know a couple of Wolverine fans out here, and boy, do they love their team, though (like you) they enjoy the Terps in the meantime.

Oh, another Macoroni Grill fan? You know, I didn't realize they did curb-side to go dinners. I'll have to keep that in mind for something different for take-out......

And lest we forget your Pilot.....

I sure hope you get a chance to try it out today!!!! At least this snowy weather hasn't necessitated salt being spread....no one wants that on their brand-new vehicle!!!

You'll like the all-weather mats. On a day like today--with this mini-snowstorm--I'm glad I still have mine in. I'm debating about just keeping them on top of the regular mats all year long. Oh, about the Cargo Liner vs. Tray.......For me, the Tray was a priority, since it's the right size for most of the potentially messy stuff I expect to carry. (I keep 3rd row folded down, and only occasionally will need to extend storage area further by folding down 2nd row). But I'm considering getting the Liner for those times I will need the 2nd row folded down, since it extends beyond the area covered by the Tray to protect the 2nd row seatbacks. I guess whether you'd want one or the other (or both) would depend on what you expect to be carrying in your Pilot.

Do you have to do this with 10 or can more jump on?? And what is the exact deal? Do these replace the regular mats or do they go over the regular ones?
Thanks:awais:
my3kids
Sad! I thought this was a sure goner and ordered mine a few days ago at regular price. Now you've gotten your 10 and I got a bill for 10% more. Next time I'll trust that all the other Pilot people want all the extras too and just to wait.:)

Harddrv: 10 is the minimum that is needed for Tim to give the 10% discount. Once Tim approves it (he usually does), he will place the deal on the hondacuraworld.com web site (typically in the "Specials" section). Then, anybody can go order it, even if you were not one of the 10 who verbally committed....

The exact deal is 10% off the current price, plus a flat $2 handling fee and FREE shipping.

Someone else will have to answer your 3rd question since I don't have these mats... :(

Awww, bummer on that, my3kids!!! The next time, if you want to jump in on a Group Buy and no one has responded in a while, try "bumping" the thread!!! That's what I did with the Cargo Organizer Group Buy a couple of weeks ago -- I became one of the spokespersons for that thread to keep it going, knowing that some members don't always get a chance to log on every day... :(

About whether the all-weather mats go over the regular mats....I think it's up to you. I've seen at least one other person advise to take out the regular mats, but I put my all-weather ones on top of my regular mats with no ill effects. Then, there's no need to find a place to store the regular mats, and I'll always know where they are!

heard back from tim...he will process this tomorrow (04/01) morning...or is he making an april fool....lets see:2: :2: :2:
hondacuraworld
Nah, an "April Fool's" would be if I increased the price 10% ;)

Give me about 45 minutes and I'll put the buy up. Just so everyone's aware, the order from the buy will ship next week Monday (sooner if I have adequate stock).
UMGoBlue
Ok...I'm in. My order for the floor mats is in albeit I had to do it over the phone. Tried to place it over the Net but I received an error after inputting my cc info. I got some "can't authorize purchase" error as I tried to continue with the checkout process. In any case, Hondacuraworld was able to take the order over the phone @ the GB Internet price (I spoke to Sean as Tim was busy with a customer). :29:

Had no problems, good CS, very pleasant buying experience. Come to find out Sean is a Wolverine fan himself...Go Blue!!! :18:

Looking forward to putting these in as "April Showers" (which all of you are aware...bring May flowers) are on the horizon. Lots of wet and muddy feet going to be getting in-and-out of the UMGoBlue Pilot machine in the next few weeks.

I ordered online...no problems....

use them when the weather is nice. I primirily plan to use the all weather mats in winter on snowy days so as to protect the original mats from snow/slush/salt . :2:

The all-weather mats will "installed" for use from November-April.

May-October will be original mat season. :D

That's exactly what I'm doing. I didn't want to have to find a place to store the original mats.

Others have said the original mats prevent the all-weather mats from fitting over the floor gizmo for holding mats in place. I suppose that's true but it never occurred to me as an issue because I can't hardly budge those all-weather mats with my feet even trying hard.
UMGoBlue
They're here!!! They're here!!! Put 'em in as well. Boy, dey sure are purdy!!!

I got mine yesterday. I have put them in the Pilot for good. Just placed the original mats on top of these.

I see no problem in doing this. Good thing is that when the shoes are dirty , like they were yesterday after walkiing the the huge IKEA parkinglot in the rain, just throw the originals behind and step on the rubber mats...
