Today, the 4th of July around 5pm-ish, when I was viewing who's online, I noticed that many of our guests have more powers than us members!!! :8:

Veddy Interesting, Indeed....
About that all-guest "See who's online" List....a guest is shown as "reporting a post." Hmmm, wonder what that's about, guest or no guest.
Funny things keep happening with this site, like when Ramirami was suddenly propelled to "Top Poster" the other nite........ |

I don't know this to be the case but it is possible that they are simply viewing a page the tells them that they don't have the rights to do that and the tracking system doesn't know the difference between actually doing it and being told you can't. |

I think that's probably the case. I noticed this on the X site the other day (for the first time). I was shocked, thinking the password protection/permissions were really screwed up. There were guests performing "moderating duties", sending PMs, reporting posts, etc. No posts were reported nor were any modified/moved/changed in the "moderating duties" areas, so I think it's just when someone clicks to "try", the system shows them in that area. I imagine they must end up with a "not authorized" screen.
Still, interesting to see. I notice on the X board there are a number of registered users who have never posted, but spend some quality time in the Arcade. LOL. |

I did all three: started a thread to raise awareness, sent admin an e-mail, and send admin a PM, but still no response... :8: |
