| A couple of days late posting here on honda-pilot.org, but nonetheless, here it is: The August special from Tim Poliniak and Shawn Kaiser of the Internet Accessories division of the Ray Laks Honda and Acura dealerships in Western New York... :) |
|
|
| wwong |
| I don't think this special is correct. My understanding is that you can not get a full nose mask if you have a lower trim. You have to get the half mask. If I'm wrong, that means Honda has a new full mask that will fit over or around the lower trim. If they do, I would buy it. I only have a half mask with lower trim. |

| Drat! I already bought the splash guards from Tim, and I would like to get the wheel locks and cargo tray also. Oh, well, I guess I'm out of luck for a deal on them.:( |

This is a 10% savings (a $13.36 price difference_, but the special states you save over $17.
Do they waive the $3.95 handling fee for the monthly specials or something? |

Good stuff... Looks like I may be making my second purchase from Tim and I haven't owned my Pilot for a month! |

Not a problem at all, riseboi :p The funny thing is that I just got done talking with Tim on the phone (to order a left fog light) and he said that he was going to put the monthly special out this p.m. -- I guess his fingers were on the "Submit" button as we were talking!!! :D

| I hear some dealerships are offering $15K off all 2004 Pilots regularly priced $50,000 and up. Slap on those $400+ sidesteps and you'll be driving a steal of a deal....how can they afford to do it? |

An increase of 52% in sales, huh? Pretty good... Maybe Ray Laks should give the Internet Accessories Division a nice year-end bonus for all of your (Tim Poliniak, Erik Gillette, and JR Czarniak) hard work and dedication!!! :7: |

Okay, I think there is still some confusion here. PKJR, the email you received was a response to a PM you sent to me, tim.s. The air deflector mentioned in this post above:quote: Originally posted by PaulV7

was in regards to PaulV7's birthday present - not the monthly special.
The December 2003 monthly special (shown here) is the Honda Pilot Cargo Tray. If you want the cargo tray, you still have a few days. If you want the air deflector, keep checking each month. ;) |

I can do anything pretty much, but the larger the item price, the more money I can save you.....on a $40 part the savings are only a few dollars.
Keep the suggestions rolling :) |

|
|

| :D same here, how about those running boards! |

| How about the tow package or towing hitch for both '03 and '04 models. With spring quickly approaching there should be a good demand from the campering & the boating crowds. |
|
|

| Count me in with another vote for running boards! How about the runningboards with the lights also? |

Since we're all fantasizing here anyway, how about a "make-your-own" special, like a 10% off any purchase over $300, plus fixed rate shipping. That way we can all get the things listed above, plus a whole lot more, and Tim makes enough revenue to justify the discount?????
I'll bet that would result in the biggest month ever at HondaAcuraWorld.....
That's what you get for opening the forum to a CPA....

PK - You can always find something cheaper, but price isn't the only factor for some items. Hondacuraworld is a site sponsor, has an excellent reputation for service and customer support, and offers free shipping.
Sometimes it is worth a few extra dollars to support our friends. Haven't you ever bought Girl Scout cookies?

Don't forget about quality. Some after market products are as good as the original Honda parts, but others are crap. I'm assuming HondaAcuraWorld offers only genuine Honda products. |
|
|
| PKJR |
| I am also talking about Honda parts :-) |
|
|

This is going to be a dumb question - I'm real new to the Pilot world, but what does RES mean when you say EX-L RES in the description of your pilot?
Also for the accessories that are advertised, like side steps, who does the installation?
Thanks:2: |

You can either have the dealer install them or you can install them yourself -- side steps, depending on how mechanically-inclined you are, can be a do-it-yourself project as a number of members here have shown!!! :4: :17: |
