I got my Pilot from them and had no problems. I went to Paragon after a fiasco with Hillside Honda. Similar problem you are describing... Where they would not refund my money on time and will actually do it by portions :)

I referred my coworker to Paragon and he too had an excellent experience. So, now two pilots are parked on NYC parking lot in midtown Manhattan. My other coworker is thinking of trading is his Lexus RX 300 for a Pilot at Paragon

Ditto on the bad experience with Paragon Honda in Queens. Spoke with the internet guy who sounded very promising with a so call "good deal" of almost $800 off MSRP. He supposedly check with his computer and claimed to have "in-Stock" a 2003 Pilot with Navi in silver. When it came time for me to bring in a check and get the vehicle, he said there was a computer mistake and the car no longer existed. This after about 5 phone calls back and forth to verify the existance of this imaginary vehicle.

Finally brought a 2004 (luckily I waited), from Middletown honda for about $1500 off MSRP. I would stay away from Paragon Honda. They seem to be very shady and I also recall a previous poor relationship with them when I was looking four years ago.

Exactly wht they did to me, they said the car was coming in in 2 days...i even got the call from the lady in the morning telling me to pick up the car only to get a call at lunch saying it was a mistake the car was someone elses...they kept telling me 2 days...then i told them i found it somewhere else and they said i was lying because they did a 'tracking' he said, if you found it somewhere else to go see and see if they give it to me for under MSRP, i actually got it for 1600 under and he didnt believe me,

well anyway, just be careful

Im new to this forum but i had a similar expierence in WNY. Lia Honda gave me the run around about a deposit, they couln't produce the car and told me lie after lie. I ended up losing my deposit and went to another dealer, Ray Laks and I was very pleased, I got everything I wanted. People in WNY be aware.

I'd recommend using a credit card (not debit card) for any car deposits as you take advantage of the normal purchase protections they offer. Also, you can always tell a fairly honest dealer by the amount they want for a deposit. Don't bother with anything over $500. Run for the hills if they don't take credit card deposits!

Holy you-know-what!!! Over 5 weeks to get your money back from them -- sheesh, what a hassle!!! Well, I'm glad it worked out for you in the end, though!!! :)

5 weeks is an really long time to wait for a deposit. I would report them to the BBB. Thats nuts!!
