Well, since you guys started this new music forum, I guess it's time for SHAMELESS PROMOTION!!!
Below is information concerning the upcoming series of concerts by the 24 voice professional chorus to which I belong, and since a couple of the first few posters in this thread are from the area I thought it might be okay to post it here.
Anyone in the Chicago area who enjoys good choral music in any style is encouraged to come!

SPRING KALEIDOSCOPE
The Lakeside Singers' Spring 2004 concert features music by Henry Purcell, Benjamin Britten, Camile Saint-Saens, contemporary composers Eric Whitacre and Chen Yi, music from the movies "O Brother Where Art Thou" and "Jungle Book, " gospel and pop numbers by Stevie Wonder, Olivia Newton John, the pop songwriting team of Brian Holland/Lamont Dozier/Edward Holland Jr. and the Clancy Brothers. A dazzling, virtuoso performance of music "from renaissance to rock" as only the Lakeside Singers can sing it!
