| Got home early yesterday and saw all these trailers parked in front of the house. They were shooting a commercial for Chef Boyardee. In one scene, there was a teenager mowing a lawn and right next to him was a can of Chef Boyardee something rolling down the sidewalk. The can was being controlled remotely. I was able to take a few pictures of the trailers, but that's it. Just a little excitement in the neighborhood. |

| This trailer was parked directly in front of my house. It's an upscale port-a-potty. (Saw a few people going in and out using the toilet.) |

| Last trailer looked like it carried all the camera equipment |

And the people sitting down were getting paid more!
You ever notice when you drive past a construction site, there's always one guy in a hole digging with a shovel and three or four fat guys standing around watching the guy dig. They're all getting paid more than the guy doing the work. |

If I ever get into Construction, I want to be the person holding the SLOW sign alongside the highway!!! :p |

Ate many a can of Chef Boyardee Ravioli growing up.
Hope somebody will report back to the board if they ever spot your "rolling can" commercial on TV!!! (It takes a village to film a 'lil old commercial, doesn't it?) |

| I grew up on beefaroni. I actually got a can stored at work in case I don't have time to go out for lunch. |

I've always wondered if this sign was read:
"Slow, children at play..."
or
"Slow children at play..." (no comma)

A perfect example of why we editors point out that the presence or absence of even a single comma can change the meaning of a sentence! So, be careful! |

Or another one of my favorites:
1. Hey, what's that up in the road ahead???
2. Hey, what's that up in the road? A head? :p |

Since this thread has been hijacked and steered towards signage...
This one always gets a smirk outta me -- I've always wanted to add the phrase
"EVEN BETTER AROUND THE CORNER"
underneath this next sign: |

wwong must be rolling his eyes  at how his thread migrated to signage so quickly !!!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch in San Dimas......
wwong, do you have any idea why they picked your neighborhood to shoot the commercial? Forgive my ignorance, but I'm supposing that San Dimas must be at least somewhat near Los Angeles. When you live in Southern CA, I'd imagine that the average person must be more used to seeing film crews around than most of the rest of us would be.
P.S. I like the Chef's Beefaroni, too. |

Isn't it comforting to know that those children eventually grow up, get jobs and become: "Slow Men At Work" |

The neighborhood I live in is typical middle America. You know, the "Leave it to Beaver" image |

| I saw the commercial. It's aim towards kids. So, if you want to check it out, watch the commericals on Saturday morning. You'll see like 5 second clips of the Chef Boyardee can rolling around in the streets and sidewalks. These scenes were shot in San Dimas, California. |

heh... that's my world. and yes, those guys sitting around We're probably either the Director and AD or the "ad guys". :)
We did a spot in New Orleans last year and we shut down a whole city block once...trucks everywhere, traffic being rerouted... it was great. :) |

| I've seen it; it's very cute. A girl and her mom are shopping, and the girl puts a can of Chef Boyardee in the cart. Her mom says "No, you've had Chef every night this week." Can rolls off the shelf, out of the store, and rolls to her house. |
