Its the most wonderful time of the year ...yes NFL playoffs..and though my beloved bears are not in it again :3: :3: but there are some wonderful games ahead....
what are your predictions...
My guesses are: In the NFC tilte game: Eagles over Rams
In the AFC title game : Patriots over Colts
SuperBowl : Eagles over Patriots |

Considering my screen name, I may be a little biased. But I think the Super Bowl winner will be whoever wins in Foxboro this Saturday night.
AFC: Titans over Colts
NFC: Eagles over Rams |

Ummm did anyone notice what the Colts did to Denver last sunday? If their Defense plays like that again there is no team in the NFL that can beat them. I honestly dont think the Titans can win in Foxborough, would love to see them do it so I can goto another game, but Im not sure anyone can win at new england, unless we play like we did on sunday.
Colts over GB in the Superbowl! |

| well if the recent NFL history holds true we will have a "new" superbowl champ...not a team which has won in the recent past...so exclude Patriots and Rams there :2: |

Anyone hear what's going to happen to his NASCAR team if he goes back to coaching?
I can't imagine that he can run both, because he is a "hands on" kinda guy. |

Yesterday's paper said that Joe Gibbs' son will continue to be the president of Joe Gibbs Racing, and the management team will remain intact. Reportedly, there will be no difference in the running of the team as Joe returns to football.
Heard Joe Gibbs speak at our church last year. He's certainly a man of passion and conviction. Very focussed and driven too.

Can we extend that to exclude ANY team that has won a superbowl in the past? Please? That'd also eliminate the Pack, Colts, and Chiefs.:17: |

New England Patriot will go all the way to the last game and bring the trophy home!!!!
This weekend game, Titans going to be beaten, not by the Patriot but by the sub zero temperature. |

It seems to be part of our the US culture to root for the Underdog. The Packers have had success for a few years now, and we tire of the perennial favorites making it to the playoffs every year. And if he grew up roting for another team, and now lives in MN, Matt's probably sick of hearing about the Packers. Being a Redskins fan ever since I became aware of football, I'd get sick of hearing about the Packers, too, if circumstances ever caused me to live in that area.:p |

O.K. I can see that. The thing is though. I lived in Wisconsin for 35 years. The Packers went 30 years without winning a SuperBowl. They won again the first month I moved to Florida. I supported them though all the lousy years, so I can't abandon them now.... However, the last few years they really weren't a serious threat to win the superbowl... even this year they are a long shot among the remaining teams. |

I am a Vikes fan mostly but I do admire Payton so thats the only reason to root for the Colts. Being a Vikes fan automatically makes me a anti-Packer person.:D

I have been in MN since I was 4 years old and both my parents are from MN so I don't think I grew up rooting for any other team. I am sick of hearing about the Packer and there back door entry into the play offs!;) I know it is my own team's damn fault!:3:
I can't believe that Carolina just won! 1 missed field goal per team! And an interception of Bulger!WOW! |

My guess is a Colts vs Philly superbowl but both games next weekend could go either way.

If our offense plays like it has been, and the defense shows up like it did against Denver, its gonna be a long day for the Pats.......if the D doesnt show up its gonna be a shootout and the revenge factor will be huge GO COLTS!

I am just glad CBS has the AFC because there HD broadcast rocks!:18:

Darn! Darn! Darn! :( :3: :cursin:
I thought the Titans had that one. When Bennett got both hands on the ball at the 15 with a minute & a half left, I thought they were going to pull out another one.
(sigh)
Hats off to Patriots. I'll stick with my original comment that the winner of the Titans / Pats game will win the Super Bowl (that leaves the Patriots). The AFC championship game will be one heck of a game, though. A lot closer than the Superbowl itself will be.
Hey whitepilot: Since my Titans are out, I'm pulling for your Colts. I'm a big Manning fan (all 3 of them) so go Colts - at least until next year!:29:
Slight tangent here: We refer to the Patriots as the Pats, the Packers as the Pack, The Buccaners as the Bucs, the Vikings as the Vikes, etc. Yet no one shortens up "Titans" ... :31: |

Colts? again I stick with my original plan. If the Pat beat Titans once the Pat will beat Titans again.

the weather in Foxboro should make the game more interesting...doubt Manning can score 40 points in that weather..:p :o...is it supposed to be as cold as the past few days??any snow?? |

No snow is predicted, just about 30 degrees and sunny. (I live about 25 minutes from the stadium) |

Wow, it's been snowing here (about 20 minutes from Foxboro, MA) all morning. There's a chance it may change over to (a cold) rain.

Still sticking with my original quote earlier. The Pat beat Titans once the Pat will beat the Titans twice, if the Pat beat the Colts once the Pat will beat the Colts again. I was right all along, with Ty Law 3 interceptions I knew my home team heading to Houston in two week.
As I being watch the Eagle vs Panters I think the Pat will win the Super Bowl easy. Anyone thinking what I'm thinking?
Guess what? there are going to be a big parade in Boston, MA.
GO PAT!!!!! |

"Not to go all Marcus Pollard on you, but if the Patriots keep playing defense the way they did on Sunday at Gillette Stadium, then you can just go ahead and hand them the rings.
Might as well get busy on the permits for the Super Bowl parade, as well. Does the Tuesday afternoon after the game work for you, New England? Same place as two years ago, at Boston's City Hall Plaza?"
