I am curious to see if we can put
together a group that would be interested
in trading in their OEM Goodyear tires
for Micheline Cross Terrain set. The trick
is to find a shop that will give us a fair
deal on the trade in. I've e-mailed half
a dozen places today, and will see what
they have to say. I will report back on
that. However, I am sure they would be a lot
more cooperative if they knew there
are 5 or 10 more potential clients out there
that they would not otherwise have.

Tried 5 tire dealers today.
None were interested in a credit for the Integrity tires.
Best price found - $120/tire installed for the Cross-Terrain.

I actually called NTB this morning for the same exact reason. They quoted me a price of $114. per tire. They matched the TireRack's price of $104. plus a $10. charge for mounting. Compared to what the TireRack's tires would have been plus shipping, it worked out to be just about the same. They also would not do a trade-in because they don't even carry Goodyear Integrity's.

My Pilot is coming in at the end of the month, so I would be more than happy to join some kind of group thing. I told my husband that I think it more important to get new tires than a wood steering wheel.

BTW, I was at the dealership today to get my car appraised for a trade-in and I mentioned to the salesman about the tires. I was wondering if I could upgrade there or would I have to buy them elsewhere. He had not heard of any complaints regarding the Integrity tires and asked some of the other salesmen as well, and no one has heard one bad thing about these tires. Oh well, as all of us who live in the Northeast know, we can get really hammered some winters and I really wanted some safe tires on my car especially since I will not be using snow tires like I have every winter on my BMW.

It will be nice not to have to switch tires twice a year!!:2: :2: :2:

Which NTB did you call. Just curious -- would
be nice to have it as an option.

Purchase price seems OK.
I would feel better if I knew I could sell these OEM tires.

No kidding. I am thinking, if we get, say, 10 people in a group,
and call a place offering to buy 40 new Michelines, perhaps
they will be little more likely to consider a trade in. We'll see,
worth a shot. Sure beats driving to Maryland :) :)

The best deal I have now is about $385 for a
set of 4 installed. Including the trade in
and sales tax, and free rotation and balancing
for life by one of the most reputable tire dealers
in the area.

The offer is good if your OEM's are BRAND NEW.

If we can find 7 more people, the price can go
down by another 5%

If you're interested, please reply!

What's wrong with the OEM Goodyear tires?

The road noice is pretty high like MDX. That's really annoying me especially when you are going to spend tons of money for luxury SUV which do not get the comfort of a luxury SUV.... :3:

Other than that, I think goodyear is a good brand of tires..... Just stay off from getting Firestone tires.
