Hats off to the Maryland Terrapins, who just broke Duke's 17 game ACC tournament win streak, won the ACC tournament championship, and secured a birth in the NCAA tournament for the 11th straight year.

I turned it off when the Terps were down by 10, went outside for a few minutes, and the next time I checked they were up 5 in overtime! :D :2: :D :2: :D :2:
Wish I hadn't stopped watchin...should have known better after watching them roar back from 21 down against NC State. :4: |

| Will the ACC dominate the NCAA tournament or is the conference overrated this year? How many of its 6 or 7 seven entrants will make it to the Sweet 16? Is Billy Packer a little biased or what? |

No, but it might be overrated next year.;) |

Probably in Basketball, but certainly not in Football. Getting Miami, VA Tech and BC can't hurt the ACC's football standing. |

I agree. Just couldn't resist a little in-state rival jab earlier. :p And Billy Packer is biased; I would be, too. What do I mean would be, I am! ACC ACC ACC ACC!:D |

Just got home and saw the score. Tough one. I was in Charlottesville today, watching the UNC men beat the UVa men 8-4 in baseball, and the UVa women beat Towson 10-2 in softball. I wouldn't normally go see those games, but my college roommate and his wife (another UVa alum) had the pleasure of seeing their 12 year old son throw the first pitch in the men's game and 9 year old daughter throw the first pitch in the women's game. Uncle jay (honorary title) was proud!:D
It did pain me to see University Hall, the basketball arena, and know that this year that 40 year old 8500 seat arena was not sold out for several games. It's time for Pete Gillen to go.:( If his teams can't fill U Hall, what'll happen when the 15,000 seat complex opens in a year or two? The only decent seasons he's had as coach at UVa were the first two years, when he still had players recruited by Jeff Jones. |

| OSU Cowboys are my choice for Nat'l Champs. March Madness and baseball in October are my favorite times of year. |

| After watching both games yesterday, I think GA Tech and Conn will be a pretty good match up. Still look for Conn to take it. |

I pick GA Tech to go all the way.

I have to agree with you, the women also should win their game. U Conn should be the first school ever to win both the men and womens title in the same year. |
