This lower trim. The Big Rubber Bumper effect. |

Here's a picture of the lower trim (and optional lower trim chrome garnish) without foglights on a2Pilot's Pilot.

I would recommend a nice grush guard - does a better job of protecting the sheet metal and bumper. The lower trim adds very little in this area.

While the Pilot is not exactly a study in style, if there's one part of the Pilot that's well styled, it's the front. I particularly like the hood lines. So, the front doesn't need anything. To me, the Lower trim makes the front a little too busy. But it protects the license plate frame, so, it's functional.

Most definitely lower trim with lower trim garnish, fog lights, and bumper garnish. See the Home Page Featured Pilot!

I'm partial to it as well. IMHO, it adds interest to the front of the vehicle, w/out looking too "over the top" or bling bling.

I was a little surprised that Ziploc's Pilot was the only one with the lower trim, and mine was the only one with an air deflector, at the 2nd D.C. meet last October.

How 'bout that! Both of us "Lone Rangers" (apologies to kemosabe) in that regard. Didn't occur to me until you just pointed it out, jay.
I think Mr. Ziploc and I just sorta associated the lower trim (with garnish & foglights) with "the way a Pilot oughta look" because the first Pilot we ever laid eyes on had those accessories. (For that matter, the running boards, too). Also, that first Pilot was Silver. So here we are, driving around in a replica of that first Pilot we fell in love with!!
(Plus, I do think the lower trim adds a hint of macho to liven up the design a bit ;) ) |

I like with fog lights without lower trim. That makes Pilot look elegant and stylish. Without fog lights it is bling bling. But with the lower trim it looks too bullish and rough to me.

I went with the lower trim and fog lights. Parallel parking was a nightmare with my other cars, no respect. Would have liked to install a spiked bumper, only for defense. Respect my space, bumping into my pilot means your too dam close.:3: :twak: :cursin:

:D I like the lower trim to add some bumper protection in parking, no worries of breaking the ABS plastic bumper we have now. But on the other hand, it looks like putting a bullbar on a RX330, just doesn't look right, IMO:rolleyes:

Although IMO the Pliot could a little something on the front, I doesn;t look like Honda designed it.... it looks like it came outta Detroit.
