| Okay, I'm bored, so I thought I'd start a poll. I know I'm not the only one here who hasn't made the plunge yet. And I know why. So, why don't *you* have a Pilot? |

You forgot one choice:
"Have not reached the required 1,000 post count"
(even that didn't work for florida_guy)

I wanted to vote for more than one, but the wife is probably the biggest one right now. She never got to test drive the Pilot, only sit in the one in the showroom. She also sat in the Odyssey (oh no!) and liked the sliding doors on a remote control. The Pilot's gonna be for me, but she may inherit it when Junior #2 comes along, and I get a bigger SUV, or just get her an Odyssey (ugh!).
Also, the '05 with the sunroof has my curiosity peaked, but the ol' Exploder probably won't be up for the July roadtrip to visit Grannies, so I'll probably wait toward the end of the 2nd quarter to buy...maybe better deals then. |

| First post, and I ain't gonna put in 999 more before we get our Pilot. Acutally, we have made all the decisions, just a matter of getting vacation out of the way, and coming up with the down payment. It will be a ,hopefully midnight blue, EX with the navi package, and some add on goodies like running board, and chrome bumper corners. Maybe after 999 more posts I'll know what they are supposed to be called. Should have it by mid summer, and the backup color should the Midnight blue be gone, is the Redrock Pearl. And we will be towing ours behind our motorhome. |

I don't have a Pilot yet because it's not built yet. But that will change Saturday and then a couple of weeks later I will have one.

The trouble with facts like that is that they don't go away being as they're true and all. :D |

Give that man a cigar! :15:
Redrock Pearl looks great with chrome bumper garnish: :7:

I don't have a Pilot because Honda doesn't build one like I want. They need to ditch the third row seat, make the second row removable, and FIRM UP the suspension. Honda needs to breed the Element and Pilot and put some "utility" back in the S"U"V Pilot.
I don't need people hauling, I need stuff hauling. |

Hey it took me a year's suffering through the inconvenience of two little ones (with two big car seats) in the second row seats before I could convince my wife that we needed a Pilot.
Now that we have it, she loves it :2: |

If you hurry you should still be able to find some MBP. We got ours about a month ago and we love it. Good luck. |

hmmm, sounds like you need a truck not a SUV. Honda is coming out with truck version of Pilot for 05, that might be more of your calling. Just a thought. |

Ummm... okay. It would be just as accurate to say Honda needs to breed the S2000 and the Pilot and come up with a convertible to put the "sport" back in "S" UV. :D

I don't think you should answer why you don't have a Pilot "yet," because I don't think you're going to end up with a Pilot at all. Sounds like you want an Avalanche. |

They sort of did.
It's called an Element. It doesn't drive at all like a Pilot or CR-V. It actually drives like a little sports car.
An no, don't want a truck. I need enclose hauling ability like a van. I really wanted to buy a Pilot. But the primary target is clearly Women and kid hauling. Honda needs to build a rugged stripped version of the Pilot. Here is my options list if I could build my own.
NO carpet.
NO DVD
NO Leather
NO third row seat.
removable second row.
Manual transmission.
Rear skid plates.
SUNROOF.
but I do like all the upgraded stereo, HVAC, power seats . . . |

| Then buy an Odyssey and yank the carpet out. :8: |

Element - drives like a little sports car? Not sure about that, but everyone has their opinion. As for "enclose hauling ability", that's what Snugtop or like is for. You get the best of both worlds. 5 ft enclosed bed plus all the amenities. Btw, I believe unibody SUVs are not as rugged as truck based SUV (i.e. Toyota Forerunner, Nissan Pathfinder) but they don't have the clunkiness either. |

| That's is what honda needs to build. A Pilot for the single man. |

I want to pull a boat, and I'm hearing more and more that the Pilot would REALLY struggle pulling a boat, especially out of the water and up a hill.
What do you think?
What have you heard? |

| Search around here. There are some threads just on towing. I have read that most have no trouble at all pulling a boat out, assuming it's within the PILOT towing capacity range. |
