Bought my 2004 Pilot about 2 months ago. Went online at the Kelley Blue Book website and requested a free price quote. I knew the Pilot was a hot comodity, so I wasn't expecting a great deal. Within a few short hours, I received an email from the Internet/Fleet manager from down at Harbor City Honda. It was for $24,582.00 for the LX trim (basically $200 over invoice). When I went down there to pick up the Pilot, he was a great guy who didn't try to add on any extra costs. That was the best damn' car buying experience I've ever had. HOWEVER, and I mean, however, now my wife is looking to buy a Civic LX. I called Ken back and he gave me a great deal of $14,490.00, which was well below invoice. However, I tried calling Gardena Honda and they offered $14,390.00. I called Ken back and told him about it and that I really wanted to buy the Civic from him. But, asked him if he could throw in the Pilot All-Season floor mats along with the Cargo Tray for free, then we'd have a deal. He faxed over the OTD cost of the Civic and noted down the free Pilot floor mats and cargo tray. But, when I went down to go pick up the Civic, he said it wasn't there. That initially got me pissed off. Then to top it all off, he said that he wouldn't be able to give me the free Pilot all-season floor mats nor cargo tray. He even tried to sell me another Civic that was on the lot. At that point, I got really pissed off and walked out of the showroom.

I live in Redondo Beach and over the last decade have become familiar with our local Honda dealers. Gardena traditionally has been great with service and no b/s pricing. Scott Robinson has been a little higher, but not too bad. Airport is on Crack... still charging a dealer mark-up on the element...

If you want a great deal (got my Pilot EX-L for a grand over invoice with a few goodies), go to Scott Robinson and ask for Aaron Bell. He's a sales Manager. Tell him "Scott Hunter" recommended you go see him. Know what you want when you go down there and don't burn him and you'll be in and out in about 90 min including the finance guy.
