Well, it looks like we have 14 members commited so far. I'm inquring a neighbor and a friend to see if they're interested as well. But we're still 11 orders away from the 25 we need for the 15% discount.
Rather than make everyone wait (thanks for being so patient), I will be locking the group buy list on Sunday (5/30) at midnight PST. I will most likely PM group buy members on Monday or Tuesday with instructions.

I've talked to the rep at mats4less.com and she's setting up the group buy as we speak; so things should happen quickly.
I also wanted to let you know that mats4less.com has a 30-day "no questions" return policy. I know it's not going to matter b/c Catch-All mats are awesome, but just to give those that are sitting on the fence some extra incentive.
Also, those who wish to purchase mats for their other cars can do so at a 5% discount, which is their normal discount for auto clubs.

I was about to sign up, then I realized (questions):
It seems the second and third row seat mats are TWO pieces for the premium (carpeted) set, but the Xtreme version may or may not be one piece. Does anybody know:
--If they are two pieces, is the "hump" area (which is flat on our Pilots, thank god) covered (i.e., is one piece longer than the other so the center is covered)? This is a must for those of us with small children.
--Are the Xtreme version one solid piece for 2nd and 3rd rows?

From the link in Drexel's initial post, I would conclude that the reference to "2 pieces" indicates that the second row mat is a separate piece from the third row mat (just as the front seat mats say "2 pieces").

| Yes you can wash them,scrub them, hose them off. They are very durible. I have had them in past vehicles and they are great!!. They fit so well and if you do have a difficult stain just spray some Resolve and scrub with car soap and water and a brush. Very durable. By the way do you like your Lund Interceptor bug shield? I have the Honda factory one and it sucks. It whistles . Is the Lund hard to install and does it wrap under the hood. Do you have any pics? Thanks :1: |

A retailer offers a discount if an organization can assemble a group of buyers. The retailer hopes to pick up buyers that might have gone to some of the competition and gets a little bit of publicity out of it.

The LX wheel / full size spare fits just fine, even with the hidden hitch receiver. Used a stock sized tire. IIRC, its 235x75x16? |

Cool, thats great info. We still have the LX wheels on our Pilot right now. We were planning to get some new wheels by next summer so its good to know I can just take one of my LX wheels and mount it under there. I really never have liked the skinny donuts they put in there for spares from the factory. :)

I like billet grilles but for some reaon that grille doent look right on the Pilot to me. 21 bars are a bit too much for me. I think it might look better if the grille had larger bars kind of like the Harley F150 grille.
Like the one on my buddy's F-150
I probably wouldnt get a billet grille for our Pilot though. Ours is an LX and it has a lot of black accents. I dont think billet or chrome would blend in well since theres no billet or chrome anywhere else on the truck.

Just a FYI. We pretty much have the 15% discount, but under certain limitations. It'll be only valid for the premium mats 2 piece order and up. (So if you're ordering the cargo only, for instance, you'll only get a 10% discount.) Jennifer will finalize the details on Tuesday.

There was a confusion with the communication between mats4less.com and myself. If you're just ordering a cargo mat it'll only be the 10% discount. (I think because, otherwise, mats4less will be losing money.)
It's still a great deal on a great product though. You also can't beat free shipping, no tax, and 30 day no question returns.

Still, 10% off is a steal compared to the prices you can get anywhere else. Also, like Drexel said, the free shipping, 30 day return policy and tax-free make it a no-brainer buy.

That 1 to 2 weeks is a bit of a bummer. I assumed that m4l had them in stock. Thats what I get for assuming.
I hope that the 1 to 2 weeks is just an over-estimate and they will ship sooner. When I worked as a Pizza driver, we used to tell customers that their order would be there in 45 minutes, knowing that it would arrive in less than 30 minutes. That business strategy is what I call "Under Promise and Over Deliver" Hopefully that is the case here.
I guess good things come to those who wait. Though it would have been nice to know this earlier so that I didnt get all excited to get them only to learn that I had to wait.

I did happen to email the first two guys, but I'm glad you did it as a check.
In regards to the shipping, when I talked to Jennifer she said that the orders are drop-shipped (meaning straight from the factory.) 1-2 weeks does seem a bit long to me as well. I wonder if they're manufactured then shipped.
Anyways, hopefully it won't take too much longer and we'll all have our mats soon.

all weather mat yesterday afternoon( only comes in black) ... and then I saw this thread in the evening. I plan on returning
the weather mat and just get the 5 pc set from mats4less.
( whether or not I can still get the discount) ....
is there a notification process whenever there's a group buy ?
I try to log in when I can but have been busy preparing for
my wife to give birth ( classes, shower, purchasing items , etc).

As an aside I also got the following items :
cargo cover ( which we love and are going to keep).
cargo liner ( which is going to be returned to the dealer ,
does not look nice compared to the mats4less)
the collapsible square box.
Oh well , the only thing good about the purchases I made was
that they were 25 % off dealer price so the price matched
handaacuraworld's prices and I didn't have to pay shipping.
When you guys did a group buy did you pay for shipping ?

If you look at mats4less.com's website you'll see that you can get $25 off the 5 piece set. Not as good as the 15% off, but probably better than you'll find anywhere else.

Received shipping information 6/7/04.
UPS doesn't have tracking information yet, so it appears that shipment is going out to UPS today. |

Received my mats today, June 7!
Perhaps the reason why mine was delivered earlier than others is that I had to pay for shipping and it was sent via the USPS.
Just got through 303'ing them and put them in to dry over-night. The fit is great, though I'm wondering why there's a plastic tab with a key slot opening on the passenger side mat. Was there an additional carpet anchor on the '03 that was deleted on the '04? You'll see what I mean when you receive yours. |

Yes, there is a hook anchor on the passenger side on the 2003 models. As you look down at the floor, the hook would be on the lower right side. Is that where the key slot is? |

The hole with the grommet on the right hooks up perfectly to the anchor on the froor. The left hole/slot..... ? |

Hi H3xme,
The other hole that you are referring to is where the snap fastener comes in. You should have received the other part of the fastener in a separate bag with the mats. These snap fasteners will anchor your Catch-Alls to your existing carpets to prevent slippage. If you have questions about installing these, let me know!

I want to see more pictures if you have them. Overall what's your impression of your purchase? I'd like to know the following.
1. What do you think of the mats?
2. Describe the fit. If you have the cargo mat, I'd like to know how that fits in the back.
3. How good si the color match?
Post any other thoughts that might be interesting as well.

| Yea jealous here too!!! I have the Honda Cargo Mat and now I wish I had ordered the Catch-All mat. The Honda mat is'nt bad but when I take my pooch for a ride and she's 85 pounds, it tends to slip and move around. Wonder if the Catch-All mat has any small nubs or something to keep it from slipping? Jen if you read this could you answer my question and can I still get the discount? Thanks Dave |

Ordered only the front two mats. Gray.
I like the mats, though they're not as heavy as I thought they'd be, which might be a good thing; easier to take out to clean. The nap of the carpeting is not so thick that it'll trap sand (my nemesis) and the ridges should contain the particles nicely.
The fit is excellent: the color match is not. In bright sunlight there is a brownish color cast to the gray mats. In lower light conditions, it looks gray. To me, a minor issue.
I drive with my left foot flat on the floor so the dead pedal coverage issue was not an issue for me. The Catch-All's coverage does benefit me in that whatever gets knocked off my shoes when releasing the parking brake will get caught by the mat. There might be a problem though. Where I naturally place my left foot is directly over the ridge of the mat. I'm not sure at this time if this will affect my comfort or affect the durability (possible compression) of the mat. Time will tell. |
