Well our T-wolves managed to hold on and move on to the conference finals! Getting by Sacramento was no easy task! I don't think they would have if they wouldn't have been playing at home last night!
Next up the Lakers! They have beaten the 2 out 3 times this year but that doesn't mean much in the playoffs.
So who do you think will end up in the final match?
I am going with the Wolves :D and the Pacers!

| Im gonna have to hope thats the way it turns out, but the Lakers worry me, they are playing some pretty good ball. The Pacers are gonna have to play better than they did against Miami to get past Detroit/NJ granted Im a Pacers fan thru and thru so Of course I think they are gonna win it all, Having worked 4 summers In Ely Mn. I wouldnt mind seeing the twolves beat the lakers though. |

For the Western Conf. final, I'll take the Lakers over Timberwolves 4-2.
For the NBA Final, I'll take the Lakers against the Eastern Conf. Champion by 4-2. :D

| Lakers Fans....you guys make me sick. Spurs fan here with all the respect in the world for the way your team plays (not your team). They will win the 'ship this year, but in how many games each series depends on which team shows up, the lethargic one or the hungry one. I think Detroit will win tonight, and although I think the Pistons and Pacers is a coin flip, I am going with Detroit, or Indy if its against the Nets. Either way LA gets the trophy back. Hopefully we will get another shot at you next year, we took a siesta after game 2:1: |

Well after a disappointing performance by my T-Wolves they came back and beat the Lakers for game 2! Series is tied up 1-1!:4:

No Laker fans here, but we are Karl Malone fans all the way, so for that reason only...
Lakers will win it all.
Just wish this could've been the Jazz in '98 or '99. |

L.A. 100 Minnesota 89
Shaq's the man with 22 pts., Kobe 22, Payton 18, George 12 and Karl 11.
Karl Malone and Gary Payton are a great addition to the Lakers team. Good game Lakers!

I'm still mad at the Jazz for leaving New Orleans. (Talk about not letting go!) :3:
Jazz in Utah? Lakes in LA? Cardinals is Arizona? Flames in Calgary? |

Western Conference Final Game 6 on 5/31/04 - Lakers 4 - Timberwolves 2
My prediction of 4-3 is off by 1 game. :8:
Great job also for the Timberwolves, they did some pretty good action for the series. They have a very good chance for the championship next year if their team stays healthy.
Game 1 of the Finals at 8:30 p.m. ET Sunday on ABC or any of your favorite channel. For the final championship, Lakers in 5. |

| Coaching mistake or challenge? If you were the coach of the Pistons, what would you have done? I would have fouled Kobe right away. Even if he made both shots at the foul line, Pistons still would have won by 1 point. |
|
|
| m-mmeyer |
Unless he got the shot off and got the foul, like he has been know to do. I guess I would have at least pressured the hell out of him, can we say double time. Make one of the bench players try to make that shot.

Good question. Even if he was more aggressive defensively and accidently fouled Kobe while attemping the three, it would have been hard for Kobe to hit 3 in row from the line. |

I think the pistons had confidence in their D .....thats what brought them here....
for lakers to win it seems they will need to continue to have BIG nights from both Kobe and Sahq...any day they are not upto it...looks like it will be a pistons win...
great series so far :2: :2: |

It appears that Larry Brown is content to let Kobe an Shaq have big nights as long as the Pistons 'D' shuts down the supporting cast of players on the Lakers. I think that Derek Fisher's 3-pointers from the baseline last night kept the Lakers close enough for Kobe's magical shot to make the difference that it did.
What a swing in emotions over a 2.1 second period. |

| Is it over for the Lakers? Can they tie the series tonight? Will Karl play? Will Gary have a career night? |

I've been biting my tongue (or my keyboard?) for fear of jinxing the Pistons, but I just can't hold off any longer. Detroit is proving that solid defense can win championships. Those low-scoring Eastern Conference games were not the result of poor shooting by the Pistons' opponents, but rather were caused by our smothering defense. Now the Lakers are getting a taste of it and they don't like it one bit.
Go Pistons!

He said if the Pistons won, he'd wash the others truck wearing just a jock strap as listeners threw water ballons at him. Supposed to do it this friday....:p |
