The whole points thing was soundly rejected in this poll, and just appeared, only partially implemented, one day.
And it wasn't our beloved kemosabe but his thong-crazed alter ego, kemosabe_points who was racking them up. :p |

Unlike here, the point system was fully deployed over at our sister site, Acura MDX. When we moved to the same server, we ended up with remnants of the system probably because it was too much work for admin to keep two completely different sets of code going separately.
Today, they finally did away with the point system over at AcuraMDX because of controversy over juvenile competitive behavior on the part of a very small number of people. Ridiculous arguing and posturing about total nonsense. So when they did away with it over there, our site was cleansed of the infection.
Thank God for all of the nice friendly people here. Let's do our best to keep things civil and helpful so that we can continue to be the best website community around. :7: |
