Very helpful...thanks to both Tim and Admin...

It looks they fixed the problem after #8459 rolled off the line.

From the PDI bulletin:

In-Dash CD Changer
--------------------------

EX models are equipped with a 6-disc in-dash CD changer. Six CDs can be loaded into the unit without the need for a CD cartridge.

Advise your customers to follow the loading instructions in the owner's manual exactly when loading CDs.

I read that too, but look at the date...it was printed 5/21/02. At that point they were stating a 6 pack on the Honda Pilot press release as well. They later corrected the press release. However, and I think most would agree, there SHOULD have been a 6 pack in this car...no doubt about it.

Damn, you guys are quick! I picked up on that right away, but I guess I was a little too slow on the draw.

This information is great. This will be a really handy checklist when it comes time to take delivery. Thanks Tim!

Several people have commented about the mysterious black plugs found in their glove box:

Install Body Plugs
Four body plugs are included in the PDI pack in the
glove box. Install the body plugs in the tie-down holes

Thanks so much for the TSB. Answered the rubber plug issue which I posted here:

as an update.
Thanks sooooo much.:p

Anyone have Service Bulletin 99-070 in PDF form?

It is the PDI for the Nav system.

Thanks

My pilot #15XXX had the front strut problem, so even if your vin isnt included in the TSB, and you have the clicking you will want to have it checked out.:1:

last Saturday took the Pilot for her first "sprightly" run. Ran it between 70-90 for a couple of minutes. Just gradually got her up to speed, no hard charging. Got a really load "whistle" from the right front window or door. Not just wind noise but actual gosh darn sounds like a calliope whistle. I HATE THOSE. They are so hard to find. Was alone in the Pilot so couldn't really do much to locate. Now that I am back in town will have to ride with the wife to try to narrow it down. I have read some complaints here about wind; but no one else has mentioned an actual whistle. Anyone else?:3:

You could search for "kazoo" over on the mdx board and see if that matches your experience. Was there a crosswind?

I guess this is the same clicking problem we have been discussing over in other threads - right ? My VIN does fall in that range but I have only heard that noise about 2-3 times so far. Maybe I will wait till the first oil-change and then take it in at the same time.

Good to know that Honda has acknowledged the problem and has issued a TSB for that.

Whats up with people outside this range experiencing this problem as well ?

Ok... I'm confused. I am taking delivery of a Pilot EX in November. Should it come with a 6-disc changer??

Where can I find all the Technical Bulletins on my Pilot? Is there a web site I can go to?
