From Car and Driver magazine August issue
"Acura RDX
When the RD-X concept was unveiled at the 2002 Detroit show, it was clearly too rad to be real. Nevertheless, it neatly filled a vacancy at the entry end of Acura's lineup. The five-door RDX (no hyphen in Acura nomenclature for production models) will be based on Honda CR-V sport-ute and Acura RSX coupe architecture. Powertrain elements will include a 200-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine enhanced by Honda's Integrated Motor Assist system, which sandwiches an electric motor between the engine and transmission to improve fuel economy and make the RDX one of the quickest compact SUVs on the market. It will be a front-drive design, with an all-wheel-drive option similar to the system in the Honda Pilot and Acura MDX. It's due in showrooms in the fall of '05 as an '06."
A special thanks to our awesome members GlenH for taking and posting the photo and also Scoobs for posting the CD article.
