I know there are mice in my area, in fact I caught one in our garage a couple of month ago. I haven't had mice problems in cars yet. I'm in North County. At what part of San Diego are you seeing such high rate of mice problems?
What is the good preventive actions other than keeping the vent closed? |

I see it from fallbrook, Deluz, riverside, oceanside, Camp Pendleton a lot.
moth balls in the engine compartment every so often.
I have had to replace coil packs and injector harnesses because they chewed through them not good. |

Darn mice chrewed through soem wires on our Acura. I knew about it cause the lights went screwy on the dash, the check engine light went one. Little buggers cost me $800.
I was told moth balls or cedar.
I was living in Rancho Bernardo at the time. |

Had this happen to me....wasn't sure if it was mice (never saw 'em) but chewed wires and collections of leaves, twigs and even acorns.
(squirrels?)
Had to splice the wires just to regain Speedo, odometer function. |

No mice problems in easter washington where I live, but our kids live in western washington and spent over $500 repairing their pilot after a large mouse or small rat got under the hood and ate a bunch of wires. He put in the sonic rodent repellers in his garage and hasn'
t had a problem since. |
