RonJon Wheels, Exclusively Built for the Honda Pilot... - Click HERE for Original Thread
rondog
I'd like to introduce RonJon Sport Luxury Wheels to the forum. First off I want to say that our Wheels have only one purpose:

To fit Honda & Acura vehicles perfectly, Hubcentrically without rubbing or any other problems. These wheels will not fit any other vehicles except Acura and Honda vehicles. These sizes also allow the customer to enjoy a variety of tire sizes to suite your needs whether it be comfort or looks.

So the wheels are in stock and ready for delivery. We are selling them for a discounted price before i start to distribute next month.

Here are a few answers to common questions concerning the wheels
• Fits all 5 lug Honda SUVs, and Passenger Vehicles
• Wheels can be bolted with OEM lug nuts.
• Wheels should be cleaned only with soap and water regularly.
• Sorry, but no tires are available since I would rather you mount and balance locally, due to potential tire problems and service.
• Chrome waranty is 2 years as long as an impact wrench wasn't used (torque wrench is required) and the wheels haven't seen salty roads
• Shipping is Free to anywhere else in america and take 1-3 business days to arrive.
• We accept all major credit cards and debit cards.
• Tax is included in the price.
• Call in to place an order.

If you are confused about the fitments, just call in and I will explain what wheel you will need for your particular vehicle. And I can also suggest the tire for your need, whether it be handling, looks or comfort.
i found this way easier and more convenient than a group buy, with the same discounts.
Thanks again and check out the website for more images of Acura vehicles sporting these wheels.

wow, almost 300 views with no replies, any opinions?

They are nice looking wheels, but I do not think the Pilot or MDX need any bling or aftermarket wheels. They just do not have the lines for it. The Tahoe and Yukon, definitely. They are bigger, beefier looking SUVs that I love to see bling on, but I have not seen a Pilot yet with aftermarket wheels that I liked even a little. I just dont think these SUVs need it, same with the Benz, BMW, 4Runner, etc... Just doesn't look right. IMHO

I'll second that.....

I happen to like the stock EX wheels, too. Your's are just to "bling" for me. 'Course I fixed mine up with a set o' white lettered Michelins so it looks like an SUV.

Shoulda gone whitewalled, just to be different. ;)

NO WAY! Too "Grandpa" looking now with the stupid running boards. The wife said I HAD to get them. Now that I got them, she doesn't use 'em. Go figure.
rondog
you mean to tell me that silver wheels are bling? The wheels come in diferent diameters, 17", 18", 19" and the MDX comes with OEM 17" as well. The wheels aren't obnoxious with fake rivets, or a deep dish that serves no purpose, they resmeble the stock wheels even. anyway, I value your opinions and as soon as some pi,lot customers send me pics, i will post them to give you guys a better idea of how different finishes and dameters look on diffeent combonations of colors.

I'm with Dave. The stock wheels work for me. I did see a Pilot with the premium wheels Honda offered and they looked decent. Flash just doesn't work for the Pilot.

Honestly, when i see 50 pilots a day, and I can't tell my pilot from the next guys (or gals) pilot, its time for some personalization. I'm not saying 22" chrome wheels and a hot neon paintjob, just some classy wheels that match the vehicle. I can guarentee, that no rappers will sport these wheels, lol.

I agree that personalizing is nice, but not necessary. If you want to personalize a Pilot there are a ton of other accessories that look decent and dont drastically change the looks, like wheels do. I have yet to see a picture of a Pilot even with 16's or 17's that looks good. I put all sorts of stuff on mine and it looks completely different. Spend a ton less than the wheels/tires would have cost. Once again, just my opinion.

YOur right they are great looking rims, no where over the top. I agree with the others, the style doesn't fit the pilot well, even though they do resemble the original rims.

I think a solid spoke would look better. I've seen somebodies with effectively "Cromed" Acura TL wheels, it looks good, the thick lines on the wheels goes well with the brick look of the Pilot. The thin lines on those rims go better with a areo dynamic car, a Miata for instance.

Rondog, what does the lightest wheel weigh ?How does that stack up against the weight of the alloy EX 16" wheel? If they were lighter-say 3-5 lbs per wheel,I would be game. Thanks,Charlie PS Forged,or cast?

the lightest wheel is the 17"x 7" silver servo with a 42mm offset. it weighs in at about 20lbs. but you have to also consider the weight of the tire to be used which can weigh more than the wheels themselves at certain sizes. I haven't weighed the stock wheel set up but I'm pretty sure the difference in weight isn't much more or less. I have had a customer purchase the 18' servo in silver, I will post pics when i recieve them.

I'd like to see a little beefier style. Something with 5 thicker spokes, like the 95 Integra....remember those? I think too much space in the wheel makes them look like a person missing teeth, and too large of a rim would visually shrink my Pilot, and cause a "hotwheel" effect. I'm all for customizing though, have fun and make it your own. Just a little :bling: for this 30 y.o. mommy. :D (I consider anything too attention grabbing to be bling, one reason why I chose the handsome but not head turning Pilot)
Great idea though, Honda specific wheels. Thanks for the options!

I might be down for a set. Ron, do you have any pics of the 5 spoke (not split) on the Pilot? Anyone ever heard of dropping the Pilot an inch or two?
havenlock
Edit- The 18" Servo's in Satin Silver.

Hmm. Maybe this isn't the forum to be talking about suspension mods. ? :D

yeah, I feel like this forum is very limited to brush guards and roof racks when it comes to modding. I plan to keep the suv height the way it is. But i think the suspension is similar to that of an odysey, there has got to be at least one spring set that drops the Pilot, maybe a coilover set. I'll see if i can find out. By the way, I sold a set of 18" servos to a customer with a pilot, once pics are sent, i will post.
havenlock
Can't wait - Thanks Ron. Your Pilot is hot. I'll definitely do a set of rims and probably the billet grill to start. I'd like to drop it but I haven't seen much in the way of aftermarket suspension. (BTW, I'm anxiously awaiting your bodykit desigs for the 04/05 TL). :D
tway22
the picture of the pilot, is that a headlight mod? it looks really clean without the orange turn signal. how was the mod done? did you have to buy new headlights?
havenlock
Good question - I think it has to be a mod because I don't see any aftermarket lights for the Pilot.
rondog
Yeah, a friend of mine does it all the time for a wide variety of vehicles. he removes the headlights, throws them in the oven for a little to heat up the silicone seal, wedges them apart and removes the orange piece, or paints the housing. I plan to paint the houseing gloss black in the near future and do a custom deep grille. then he reseals them with silicone caulking and makes sure there are no leaks which can result in fogging headlamps. he has done this over 40 times, so he knows what he is doing, but first timers may run into soime trouble. alot of shops can do it too.

tway22
what kind of silicone compound does he use and what temp should be set for the oven and how does he get the headlights to open. it's definitely a mod i would like to do. thank you.
havenlock
Anyone ever thought of color-matching the front fascia? (bumper add-on) That dull gray just doesn't do it for me. Maybe it would be difficult to paint and defeat the purpose of having it.

Just a thought :8:

Hello,

New here, just bought a pilot with Navi. Love it.

I belong to another Forum, V6P and he sells on that website too.
