Hi everyone!
Bought a '04 Pilot Granite Edition (Canadian) a couple of weeks back.
I knew the Granite edition comes with it's own special alloy rims, but I didn't know that the dealer gives you back the regular steel rims!
So now I have 4 brand new LX steel rims in boxes of no use to me and want to sell them, but have absolutely no idea what they're worth.
Anyone have any idea what sort of price I should be asking for them? I imagine they'd be great for anyone with a Pilot/Odyssey/CRV/Element that wants to get winter tires.
Thanks,

What do the Granite rims look like?
Are they common with onother Honda (Odyssey. Ellement, etc.)? |

No idea if they're common on other Honda's (though I've heard that stock pilot rims fit other Honda's [?]), but here's a photo of a Granite Edition (same colour as mine) with it's stock rims:

Not as 'sportly' as the EX rims but still better then the LX steel rims!
Some of the other 'Granite Edition' changes are also evident here: Huge front bumper, fog lights, fender flares, black side trim, black side step bar, to name a few.

| When I bought my LX rim from a fellow member, I paid US$25 plus shipping. |

| Why don't you keep the steel rims and put a good set of snows on them for the winter. |

| IMO, those look a lot better than my EX rims. |

Thanks! That gives me an rough idea on how to price them myself.
I've only found one site that lists the rims (see here), but they list them at $129USD/each. Insane!

I've never felt the need for winter tires on my previous 4x4, I prefer to just get a reasonable set of all season's. The brand new OEM's I have now (Bridgestone Duelers H/T), while not great by any stretch of the imagination should hopefully be good enough for a winter or maybe two (they don't rate that much worse then my previous vehicle's tires according to tirerack.com). After that I'll probably stick on a set of Cross Terrain or Fortera HL's or maybe Yok Geolander H/T's.

| I have Cross Terrains on my Pilot and they are adequate for winter driving, but still a compromise. A set of dedicated snows is still the better route, and you have a set of wheels to put them on. |

| I picked up a set of 4 LX wheels on ebay several weeks ago for my dedicated snows. I paid $120, ($40 for the rims and $80 for shipping). They were unused takeoffs with the LX center caps. |

Hi Kal,
Can you take a picture of the rims, or are they just black steel rims?
Where abouts are you in Canada?
Thanks |

No problem! See the attached picture (rims still in the box). I'm in Ottawa Ontario. I fixed my profile to indicate this... (A pet peeve of mine on forums when people don't indicate their @*$&! location). :)

P.S. My Grandparents had a cottage in Udora... just around the corner from your neck of the woods (Aurora)... used to spend all my summers there! Good memories! |
